How big a storage unit do I need?

Storage units come in different sizes.  Not all of our Space Programs offer the same size containers.    The smallest size that we offer at The Space Program is 5ft x 8ft and the largest size is 40ft x 8ft.

To work out what size container would best suit your needs, you need to have an idea of how much stuff you want to store in it.

A 5ft container is roughly the size of  a garden shed, so is a good size for storing sports items or a few household bits and pieces.

A 10ft unit is about the size of a single garage.  You can fit the average contents of a small 1-2 bedroom house or a load from a Luton van in here.

A 20ft container can roughly hold the contents of an average 3 bedroom house.  If it fits into a 7.5 tonne lorry, it should fit into a 20 foot container.

A 40ft container would be recommended for a 4 bedroom or larger house.

You can find more information on sizes here.  For more advice and guidance, please feel free to get in touch using the form below.
