Vogue magazine featured Foxtrot as one of the best vintage clothing collections in the UK.
“We provide costumes for the BBC and film and theatre companies worldwide.
“Many of our costumes are featured in museums, including the Victoria and Albert in London. We also provide original vintage attire for A-list celebrities. You may have spotted some of our fabulous pieces in ‘Downton Abbey’, ‘Mr Selfridge’, ‘Call The Midwife’ and ‘Dr Who’. Or in the Hollywood film, “Trust”, starring Donald Sutherland and Hilary Swank, directed by Danny Boyle.
“Our archived collections need to be stored very carefully. Especially our unique and rare original wartime utility pieces and seasonal costumes. All items need to be carefully wrapped and boxed and kept in secure, very dry storage, away from light.
“We chose the Space Program as dry, secure storage with 24-hour access is their specialty. Good insurance coverage is a great addition. Free use of the van for transport is also fabulous. They provided all the packing materials that we needed, sturdy boxes and specialist wrapping material. Even the strong tape to secure the boxes with! All on-site with immediate delivery.
“Andre who runs the facility, is lovely! He is friendly, helpful and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. The whole set up is efficiently run and delightfully well organised!
“The site has easy access and the staff are very happy to help. The whole process was quick and easy to arrange. The cost is extremely reasonable – in fact the cheapest I could find – and I was even given several weeks for free as I booked a long term storage deal!
“It’s extremely reassuring to know that this essential part of my business is being carefully managed by The Swindon Space Program and that makes me very happy! I can now get on with doing what I love – preserving fashion history”!
